In today's world, there's an enormous increase within the electronic data. this needs large volume of knowledge storage devices to store this massive amount of knowledge . These requirement results in introduction of three Tera Byte HDD. Therefore, usually consumer prefers to store great deal of personal data in cloud. Unfortunately, if cloud are going to be corrupted or damaged it leads to the loss of all important and personal data then there should be some mechanisms to require back-up of the info , and provide the info at the time of cloud failure or loss of knowledge .Although many backup and recovery techniques are proposed during previous couple of years within the computing domain; however, world scenarios remain a challenge. during this review paper, we focuses on the varied techniques of back-up and recovery on cloud computing. Each technique is greatly affected in real time scenario either in redundancy point of view or security point of view or complex algorithm's implementation point of view.
NEED FOR BACK-UP IN CLOUD COMPUTING:
Cloud computing provides on-demand resources to the consumer/user. It requires the management of resources among each and each client/user. Such management includes various aspects of proper utilization of the resources. The resources are often any hardware or software. The software like any application programming interface, application development kit, and any sort of file, etc. Various choices are there among various implementations for a copy of the data which maintains its security among various users. Cloud computing must be ready to provide reliability such users can upload their sensitive and important data. The cost-effective approach is that the main concern while implementing any cloud.
REMOTE DATA BACK-UP SERVER:
Remote Data Backup server may be a server that stores the main cloud's entire data as an entire and located at a remote place (far far away from the cloud). And if the central repository lost its data, then it uses the knowledge from the remote repository. the aim is to assist clients to gather information from a remote repository either if network connectivity isn't available or the most cloud is unable to provide the info to the clients. As shown in Fig 1, if clients found that data isn't available on the central repository, then clients are allowed to access the files from the remote repository.
The Remote backup services should cover the subsequent
issues:
1) Privacy and ownership.
2)Relocation of servers to the cloud.
3) Data security.
4)Reliability.
5)Cost-effectiveness.
6) Appropriate Timing.
EXISTING METHODS:
In our literature survey, we found many techniques that are having their unique ways to make backup and recovery. Broadly speaking, all those techniques specialize in three different aspects, like cost control, data duplication, and security issues. Each of the techniques has the entire focus on the aim of backup and recovery. Further, we detail a few recent techniques HSDRT, PCS, ERGOT, Linux Box, Cold and Hot back-up technique, SBBR, REN have addressed the aforesaid issues.
